The Excitement of Meeting Howard proves too much to Bear
November 9th 2007 05:36
One woman was knocked to the ground as the media pack hurriedly followed Mr Howard as he faced questions over industrial relations, education and this week's interest rate hike.
It is not known whether the women was knocked over physically or by the sheer nerve of John Howard's policies.
Although his expression says 'That wasn't supposed to happen'
and
'when I point at you, YOU SIT THE HELL UP, WOMAN!'
and
'It's un-Australian to get knocked down in front of a prime minister..unless you get knocked up...in which case, GO NUTS'

It's all just so perfect, the way Howard is looking ath er on the floor with a 'wha?' expression, one hand up, the other down, like he's confused and trying to decide between two things to do.
That has to be, hands down, the funniest moment of any election campaign in Australias history.

I'm starting to feel sorry for him. And that's a really huge deal for someone who has spent the majority of their life campaigning against the fool.
Ahmed: I thought this photo was a little too good to be true. Surely by now Howard is familiar with the protocol of public appearances and the unsightly contribution from the press.

HA HA!! Fair enough..but...
I'm starting to feel sorry for him.
YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING!!!!!!?????!!!!
This seemingly harmless old grandpa has put us in an illegal international conflict, made all Australians a target in the Middle East, where we used to be respected, and has virtuallt torn up the tenets that protect us from government and police agency abuse, by ridding any protetcions and putting in place laws that my grandfather and father and uncles fought against in two world wars!!
What are these, now debased, tenets?
What about arrest without a timely trial?
What about arrest without just cause?
What about secret invasion of a property without the need of a subpoena?
I could go on...
The trouble with us is, we usually don't make a peep of protest until it is too bloody late!

I don't feel an ounce of pity for the fool when you put it like that.
